College Fashion Week: Boston - Her Campus

Living in Boston has its perks, and I had the opportunity to attend the first event in Her Campus' first national College Fashion Week that took place at The Estate in downtown Boston last night. Sponsored by U by Kotex, NYX Cosmetics, Luna Bar and Svelte, all the attendants received a nice gift bag, free feminine care products by U by Kotex and complimentary Pinkberry and candy.

Her Campus' first national College Fashion Week that took place at The Estate in downtown Boston last night. Sponsored by U by Kotex, NYX Cosmetics, Luna Bar and Svelte, all the attendants received a nice gift bag, free feminine care products by U by Kotex and complimentary Pinkberry and candy.

The fashion show included only women's wear and revolved around 4 collections, Going to Class, Working Out, Weekend Wear and Formal Wear.

The intermission entertainment was provided by Boston University's all male a capella group, the Dear Abbeys, who much to my delight, dressed up for the event and were a welcome addition of men's style among all the women's wear collections.
Other than a few curious choices in the Working Out category and in HerCampus.com co-founder Windsor Hanger's wardrobe, the fashion show featured a balanced mix of trendy and comfortable clothing that would appeal to many college aged girls.

The event had a huge turnout of collegiettes from Northeastern, Boston College, Boston University and Emerson College and Her Campus' "College Fashion Week" is moving to Ann Arbor, MI next with Raleigh-Durham, NC and Santa Barbara, CA to follow later in October. If you're close to any of these areas make sure to get your free ticket to the event and enjoy the first event of this kind and magnitude in the US! Check out the slideshow below for more photos from the event!

Campus Sartorialist in the Press

Campus Sartorialist has gotten a lot of publicity and hits these past few days and we'd like to acknowledge and thank the two online publications that featured us.

First off, The Huffington Post - College, with whom we've started a long-term collaboration, featured us and a photo of Stephanie on the front page earlier this month.

Second to feature us was Lizzie Crocker, a reporter from The Daily Beast and you can find her interview here.

Rugby Ralph Lauren - Fall Collection 2012

The fashion world is on a schedule that revolves around runway shows and fashion weeks. Collegiate fashion however, especially here in the US, is less centered around trends and more on timeless items and accessories. Rugby RL is our favorite purveyor of preppy campus style and their new Fall collection has just hit their stores and website.

As summer draws to a close it's time to think ahead to the Fall semester and what your back to campus style will look like. Here are a few of our favorite items from the Fall collection and use the code STUD22271 for a 15% discount courtesy of the Rugby RL Student Union.

Also make sure to check out the Fall Collection video below, filmed on Princeton's campus!

Kiel James Patrick - Ivy Collection

Fall break is drawing closer and luckily enough it's still warm and sunny here in North Carolina. As you're finishing up with midterms and getting ready to relax for a bit, check out Kiel James Patrick, or KJP in short.

KJP draws most of their inspiration for their bracelets, belts, ties and headbands from collegiate apparel and I'm sure there will be something to your liking. I would like to point out their new Ivy Collection for any of you Ivy Leaguers or wishful prospective High Schoolers.

Have a great break and keep it stylish!
